Faenol Fawr civil ceremony photographer- Elle and Grace get married

north wales gay wedding photographer

Where on earth do I start with this beautiful gay wedding? It was a wedding of many firsts for me.

First time I have been asked to photograph a gay wedding.

First time at a wedding where there were two ceremonies.

First time at a wedding where I had to work with two brides.

First time I had Vikings and peasants getting in on the photography.

Elle and Grace got married at the Faenol Fawr country house in Bodelwyddan, North Wales on Sunday. It was a beautiful day in North Wales and perfect for a wedding.

The legal part of the day was inside the Faenol Fawr at lunch time and was a very moving ceremony.

Gay weddings rock!

After the ceremony we headed off to Rhuddlan Castle for a few photos of the two brides. Little did we know that there was some kind of medieval event going on. Cue all kinds of fun!

The two stunning brides were joined by the armed guys there for a quick photo and they all showed their war faces. I think Elle and Grace out-did them on that point though.

We headed back to the wedding venue for the wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting. That turned out to be a rainbow cake which looked amazing.

An outdoor gay wedding blessing at Faenol Fawr

In the early evening Grace’s grandmother performed a blessing for the two brides outside in the garden. With the guests sat on blankets and a choir singing in the corner of the garden in the very warm evening sun it was pretty much the perfect setting.

I have to say, all in all, I had a blast with Elle, Grace, their lovely guests and family.

Anyway, here are a few images from Elle and Grace’s gay wedding at Faenol Fawr. I hope you like them. X
