Weddings at Plas Maenan country house- Abi and Matt got married

I love weddings at Plas Maenan. A beautiful view of the North Wales Conwy valley, attentive staff, great food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. What’s not to like?
I met up with Abi, the bride, in the morning at Plas Maenan so I could photograph the final touches of the bridal preparations and also the little details in the wedding reception.
It was a real fun time, with Mr potato heads, stair sliding and a bit of hair and make up too.
The ceremony was in St Mary’s church in Caer Rhun. The actual church I got married in! Nice!
As Matthew is in the RAF he had a guard of honour so they all arrived at the church a little early so they could sort out their uniforms and the swords they would use.
Abi arrived in a vintage Rolls Royce and looked every inch the stunning bride.
A little bit of comedy in the church. The first hymn had to be restarted because the pageboy, Lawrence decided it would be a great idea to help the organist play. Not the most tuneful I’ve heard that organ play 🙂
The celebrations carried on back at Plas Maenan, with much fun and laughter during the speeches.
Abi and Matt had had secret dance lessons so their first dance would be a highlight of the day instead of a damp squib. To say they nailed it is an understatement. It went down a real storm, which all the guests cheering for more or less the whole dance.
Anyway, here are a few images from Abi and Matt’s weddings at Plas Maenan. I hope you like them.
Enjoy them. x
