Weddings in Abersoch- Charlotte and Geraint did it

Last week I had the privilege of being in Abersoch for the wedding of Charlotte and Geraint at Porth Tocyn. Weddings in Abersoch are just the best day, always!
I met up with the girls and families in Porth Tocyn hotel to photograph the bridal preparations. It just so happened to be the morning of the partial solar eclipse in North Wales. I tried to get a decent shot of it but failed miserably.
Instead I photographed the wedding party using their eclipse viewing cards to have a look at it. It was quite spectacular but weirdly didn’t get as dark as I thought it might.
The early morning weather was fantastic in Abersoch but as soon as the eclipse passed it clouded over and rained- boo!
The official ring bearer was the bride and groom’s own dog, called Bailey. She was a star and spent the day barking at me for some reason. I love dogs too 🙂
The wedding itself was in Plas Glyn y Weddw, which is an art gallery in Llanbedrog, just a short drive from Abersoch. It is a beautiful place and well worth a visit.
Back to Porth Tocyn for the wedding breakfast and some of the funniest speeches I heard. The bestman produced some photos from the stag party that unfortunately I will never be able to forget 🙂
The evening reception was at Abersoch yacht club where we left them to their shenanigans, dancing the night away.
