Get In Touch
Like pretty much every couple wanting to get married, Anna and Gwion’s North Wales farm wedding was really hampered by COVID-19. Originally booked for June 2020 and with a lot more guests, it was going to be amazing. We all know what happened in in 2020 so we won’t dwell on that.
Fast forward eleven months and we are blessed with the most fantastic sunny May day. I mean, there wasn’t a cloud to be seen here in North Wales.
Bridal prep in Rhos on Sea
I met up with Anna the bride and her bridesmaids, along with the bride’s parents at their family in Rhos on Sea. A very chilled and relaxed morning with the ladies all getting ready.
The wedding ceremony was at the beautiful church in Bryn y Maen, which is only two minutes from my own home in Colwyn Bay.
It was such a shame face coverings hid all the smiling faces during the ceremony, but it’s just the way of things at the moment. Hoping so much things will be back to normal soon. We still managed to have some confetti fun afterwards though, which was ace ????
The bridal party stopped of at the amazing Hafodunos for a few bride and groom portraits. I say portraits, but the way I work it’s more like a walk in the sunshine with a few photos thrown in for good measure. The gardens and architecture there is amazing, and we thank the owner there for allowing us free reign to do what we wanted.
The marquee was decorated beautifully
The wedding reception itself was just a short drive to Anna and Gwion’s farm. For their farm wedding they used the awesome Peak Marquee hire to create the perfect reception inside one of the farm barns. With lots of personal touches which really made it ‘them’. The photo wall, swagged ceiling, gin bottles, and many cows, as a nod to the farm.
What more could you ask for at a North Wales farm wedding than to finish off the day with an outdoor first dance. Just as the sun was going down and the shadows getting longer.
All in all it was a fantastic wedding day spent with the loveliest of families. COVID cut down the number of guests but, it was still the most perfect day.
What now then, we love your photography at this North Wales wedding?
As always, at every wedding, there is more to weddings than portraits. As this beautiful wedding proves 🙂
