An April wedding in Bron Eifion

An absolutely beautiful day in Criccieth for Lisa and Philip’s April wedding in Bron Eifion.

A little bit of rain came just at the right time, when we were all indoors, but for the most part it was sunny all day.

Mary, the owner of Bron Eifion, is Lisa’s aunt, so it was a real family affair. When your relatives are running your wedding you know you’re in for a top day.

Bron Eifion looked as good as I have ever seen it. It looked amazing, so hats off to all the guys behing the scenes who decorated the ceremony and wedding breakfast.

Philip was cool as you like, but Lisa was super nervous. Or maybe excited? It was a good job her bouquet was fresh and perfectly made by Lili Wen, or else Lisa may well have shaken all the leaves from it before the ceremony.

I love it when a couple read their own vows to each other. It means they’ve given it some thought, and made it personal, and all about them.

An afternoon in the North Wales sunshine

Everyone spent the afternoon in the sunshine, and I busied myself with the family group photographs. I also managed to photograph the wedding breakfast details before the guests came in for their dinner.

I think this was my first ever vegan wedding. Being a self confessed carnivore I was interested to see what was on the menu. It certainly didn’t disappoint, with three delicious courses.

Photographers dream of light like this.

If the evening is drawing in, and you see me, your wedding photographer, smiling and jumping around trying to get your attention, you can pretty much bet that I want you to come outside for a few minutes. We don’t often get glorious ‘golden hour’ light this, so when we do it would be a crime not to use it.

Golden hour light in Bron Eifion is special, with the garden there as well it makes it perfect. After these brief few minutes in the garden it was time for the dancing!
