A stunning summer wedding at Gwrych Castle

An absolute stunner of a summer wedding at Gwrych castle and Rydal school’s Osborn Hall to share today.

Honestly, I am so lucky doing the job I do. I spend my working days with people having the best time. You just have to see Lauren’s face, she smiled all day.

Lauren hails from Australia, and Rob is born and bred in North Wales. It’s funny how things conspire to bring people together from opposite sides of the world.

As Lauren is an Aussie, a few of her favourite friends and family managed the long journey to North Wales. Her sister however, couldn’t make it, so video calls and live streaming were the order of the day.

A sunny wedding at Gwrych castle

Just look at Gwrych castle in the summer sunshine. It’s just magnificent isn’t it!

This was my first working visit to the castle, and we couldn’t have picked a better day. Blue skies, no noticeable breeze, and a castle wedding really is a joy to be a part of.

Yes, this is the very same castle ITV used for the show ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’.

Whilst Rob and their son Ronnie waited with Rob’s best man in the ceremony room Lauren arrived in a VW camper, and walked down the imposing marble staircase, accompanied by her dad.

The ceremony was lovely, with Lauren’s Aussie friends reciting a reading, and Ronnie wanting to be an integral part of the moment.

Afterwards, it was time to mingle and enjoy the warm summer sunshine.

Over to Osborn Hall for the partying!

Once again it was my first visit to Osborn Hall in Rydal school. What a beautiful space to have your wedding reception. The high ceiling really adds the wow factor.

This was where everyone enjoyed the speeches and wedding breakfast.

Outside on the lawn guests loved the cocktails, sunshine, garden games, and I think ‘wine tennis’ was invented that day too 🙂

The evening party in Osborn Hall

Once all the official ‘wedding’ stuff was done it always nice to see guest let their hair down and have a boogie.

‘Especially for you’ seemed the perfect first dance, and that choice went down very well. The dancing all night was full of energy and joy, and was going strong long into the night.

Thanks for having me along guys, it was a blast!
